Ryan Howard

Recognized as a Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum, one of the Top 40 under 40 by the San Francisco Business Times, one of the 100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs by Goldman Sachs, and as one of the Silicon Valley Top 100 by Business Insider.

Ryan lectures at Stanford, UC Berkeley, UCSF, Wharton, Microsoft, The Vatican Conference, HIMSS, SDForum, VentureBeat's HealthBeat, Health 2.0, Vator, and Commonwealth Club, and has been quoted by the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, New York Times, Wired, Forbes, and featured in the Harvard Business Review as an innovative leader.

In 2005 he founded Practice Fusion, and as the CEO, grew it into the largest Electronic Health Record Platform for doctors and patients in the US. Serving over 110 million patients, and bringing it to $50M in revenue and a $700M valuation. Practice Fusion exited to Allscripts in 2018 (Stanford case study: https://goo.gl/mm3Dst).

After leaving the Practice Fusion in 2015, the subsequent management team partnered with an opioid manufacturer and
leveraged the platform to encourage doctors on the platform to prescribe opioids to patients. Based on this experience, Ryan created a framework to help other founders ensure that their companies are not corrupted and can achieve the social impact they originally intended (more here: https://t.ly/leA4).

In 2016 he founded 100Plus, the fastest growing Remote Patient Monitoring Platform in the US assisting seniors in monitoring their chronic conditions. 100Plus exited to Connect America in 2021 (Harvard case study: t.ly/D0Zx).

He has had the privilege of being coached by Bill Campbell, Tony Robbins, and Cora Tellez.

He now partners with founders on how to design their companies and implement controls within in their articles of incorporation, board structure, and founder employment agreements to ensure that they can maintain control of the companies they started, as well as ensure they see a positive financial outcome, regardless of their company’s ultimate outcome (more here: https://t.ly/leA4)
